Frequently Asked Questions

What FootJoy products does Tony Valentine stock?

We stock FootJoy golf shoes, apparel, gloves, and accessories across both our Corsham and Swindon stores.

Why is FootJoy considered the number one golf shoe brand?

Since shoe counts were first tracked in 1945, FootJoy has consistently ranked as the most worn shoe brand on the PGA Tour. That kind of sustained credibility at the highest level of the game is difficult to argue with

What is new from FootJoy for 2026?

The two headline releases are updated versions of the Premiere Series and the Pro/SL, both rebuilt with lighter construction, improved comfort, and new outsole technology. The SS26 apparel range is also new, with six colour collections across men's and women's.

What is the difference between the FootJoy Premiere Series and the Pro/SL?

The Premiere Series is a traditional spiked shoe with a premium leather upper and classic styling, suited to golfers who want maximum stability and a timeless look. The Pro/SL is a spikeless model with a more athletic profile, better suited to golfers who walk frequently or want a shoe that crosses over easily from course to clubhouse.

Are the new FootJoy Premiere Series shoes lighter than before?

Yes. Both new Premiere models are significantly lighter than their predecessors, which is good news for golfers who previously found the range on the heavier side.

Which tour pros wear FootJoy shoes?

Adam Scott, Cameron Young, Justin Thomas, and Will Zalatoris are among the tour players who provided input on the new Premiere Series. FootJoy's tour presence is broader than any other shoe brand on the PGA Tour

Does FootJoy make waterproof shoes?

Yes. The Premiere Series carries waterproofing as standard, and several other models in the range also feature waterproof constructions. Our in-store team can point you towards the right option for how and where you play.

What FootJoy apparel does Tony Valentine stock?

We carry a range of FootJoy polo shirts, trousers, outerwear, and layering pieces across both stores, alongside gloves and accessories. The TempoSeries range is worth a look if you want lightweight, packable layers for changeable weather.

Do FootJoy shoes fit true to size?

Generally yes, though fit can vary slightly between models. We always recommend trying FootJoy shoes on in store where possible, as the Premiere Series in particular fits differently to the more athletic Pro/SL silhouette. Both our stores carry stock across a range of sizes and widths.

Can I buy FootJoy gloves and accessories at Tony Valentine?

Yes. We stock FootJoy gloves, socks, and accessories alongside the footwear and apparel range in both our Corsham and Swindon stores.

FootJoy Collection

FootJoy — The Most Worn Brand in Professional Golf

Few names carry as much credibility in golf footwear and apparel as FootJoy. Since shoe counts were first tracked in 1945, FootJoy has consistently ranked as the most worn shoe brand on the PGA Tour, and the 2026 range builds on that heritage with some of the most significant updates the brand has delivered in years.

The Premiere Series — rebuilt from the ground up

The Premiere Series currently represents roughly 40% of all shoes worn on the PGA Tour, making it the most played shoe model at the highest level of the game. For 2026, FootJoy has refreshed it significantly. Both the Marquis and Packard models have had updates to interior padding for a more cushioned feel, and both are meaningfully lighter than their predecessors, addressing one of the few criticisms regularly aimed at the range. The redesigned ARCTrax outsole features an anti-channeling traction pattern combined with concentric flex zones intended to improve ground interaction during the swing, while the full-grain premium leather upper that defines the look of the Premiere remains unchanged.

The Pro/SL — the spikeless benchmark

The Pro/SL is reportedly 30% lighter than the previous model for 2026, with improved comfort, an all-new traction pattern, and an even more athletic fit. Tour player Sahith Theegala described the updated prototype as the best he had ever tested, which for a spikeless shoe is a meaningful endorsement from someone competing at the highest level week in and week out.

Apparel built for the course

FootJoy's Spring Summer 2026 apparel collection presents a wide spectrum of performance technologies alongside striking prints and patterns across both men's and women's ranges. The men's range is built around four colour collections including the Aberdeen Collection, inspired by the Scottish landscape, and the Laguna Beach Collection for a more coastal feel. The women's range features the Palm Desert and Tidal Drift collections alongside an expanded TempoSeries lineup of lightweight technical layering garments. Gloves, socks, and accessories round out a complete on-course wardrobe.

At Tony Valentine, we stock FootJoy footwear and apparel across both our Corsham and Swindon stores. Come in and try a pair on before you commit.
