Description
The Ping G440 Max is the most forgiving driver in the G440 range and a meaningful step forward from the G430 in terms of both distance and playability. Free Hosel technology removes weight from a section of the hosel and reallocates it lower in the head, creating Ping's lowest CG ever and aligning it closer to the force line for a combination of more distance and better forgiveness. A lower face height allows the face itself to be made thinner and hotter, which translates into faster ball speed and more consistency across the face including the high-heel region where many golfers tend to catch it.
A 29g back weight provides forgiveness and can be adjusted into draw, fade or neutral position to influence shot shape and trajectory - a genuinely useful feature rather than a token adjustment. The Carbonfly Wrap crown saves weight from the crown and heel/toe skirt sections, which is reallocated to lower the CG further and contribute to a more muted, pleasing sound at impact. Trajectory Tuning 2.0 hosel provides eight positions of loft and lie adjustment. Custom build available through the store. Standard shaft length 45.5 inches (46 inches with Alta CB Blue).
