The Apex Ai200 is Callaway's players distance iron and it manages the difficult trick of looking like a proper Apex while behaving like something considerably more forgiving. A forged hollow body chassis houses a Carpenter 455 forged face cup, so the whole perimeter of the face contributes at impact rather than just the middle.

Ai Smart Face varies the thickness across the hitting area based on real impact data, and MIM tungsten inserts position the centre of gravity precisely for each iron in the set. Urethane microspheres sit behind the face to take the harshness out of a very thin, very fast face. Set covers 5 iron to pitching wedge in stiff flex steel.
