Fitted with a Catalyst 65 Regular flex graphite shaft.

Mavrik was the range where Callaway leaned hard into artificial intelligence for face design, and the hybrids benefited just as much as the woods. Rather than using one face architecture across the set, each loft got its own thickness pattern generated by a computer model, so the 20 degree head is optimised specifically for the launch and spin a 4 hybrid needs to produce.

The face is forged from Carpenter 455 steel, which is strong enough to be made very thin, and a tungsten weight in the sole pulls the centre of gravity low and forward. That combination is what makes a hybrid launch high while still holding a reasonably strong flight rather than ballooning. At 20 degrees in regular flex this fills the gap between a fairway wood and your longest comfortable iron for most club golfers.
