The MP-223 is Mizuno's cavity back for players who want a bit of help without giving up the shape and feel the MP badge is known for. Grain Flow Forged HD from a single billet of 1025E mild carbon steel at the Hiroshima factory, it carries the same forging process that has put Mizuno irons in more tour bags than the marketing budget would suggest.

Compared with the MP-225, the 223 has a thinner topline, less offset and a more compact blade length, so it sits behind the ball like a players iron while the cavity and stability frame quietly add a margin for error. The set runs 5 iron through gap wedge in regular flex steel, which suits a low to mid handicapper who strikes it reasonably well and cares about feedback.
