The Jailbird Cruiser is a counterbalanced take on one of the most stable mallet shapes Odyssey makes. Built at 38 inches with a heavy head and a long oversized grip, it is designed to be choked down on, which puts extra mass above your hands and quietens the wrists right down. The result is a stroke driven by the shoulders rather than the hands, and that is exactly why so many players who fight the yips or twitchy short putts get on with it.

The head itself is the classic Jailbird outline with bold alternating alignment stripes running front to back, giving you an unmistakable reference for where the face is pointing. It is face balanced, so it suits a straight back and through stroke, and the sheer footprint keeps the face from twisting on strikes away from centre. If your putting has gone wobbly and you want something that feels almost self-correcting, this is worth a roll.
