Fitted with an ALTA CB 65 regular flex graphite shaft.

The G440 Max fairway is the model in the range that fits most golfers, and the 7 wood is arguably the pick of the lofts. Ping's Free Hosel technology takes weight out of the hosel area and puts it back into the head, which allowed them to build a face four percent taller than the previous generation without pushing the centre of gravity up.

That matters because a taller face gives you confidence off the tee while the low centre of gravity still launches it high off the deck. A Carbonfly Wrap crown saves further weight, and the face thickness is tuned separately in the heel and toe so strikes away from the middle hold their speed. Trajectory Tuning 2.0 gives loft and lie adjustment. Regular flex.
