Fitted with Dynamic Gold MID 115 stiff flex steel shafts, standard length, green dot lie.

The i530 replaced the i525 as Ping's players distance iron and it is one of the quickest irons in the category. A hollow body with a forged face gives you a spring off the face that a solid head cannot match, and an internal weight pad thins out the transition from face to sole so the lower portion flexes harder. At address it still looks like a proper players iron, with a thin topline and a narrow sole.

This set runs 4 iron to pitching wedge in stiff flex steel, built to a green dot lie which is three quarters of a degree flatter than Ping's standard. Worth knowing before you buy, since lie angle makes a real difference to where the ball starts. A strong choice for a decent player who wants blade looks without losing distance in the long irons.
