The 0311 P GEN6 is PXG's players distance iron and it is packed with more technology than almost anything else in the category. The face is around 15 percent thinner than the previous generation and made from HT1770 maraging steel, pushing the COR right up to the legal limit. Behind it sits XCOR2, a lightweight polymer that supports the face while freeing up weight to be repositioned, plus a milled power channel that increases flex in the upper part of the face to lift launch and ball speed together.

The body is forged five times from 8620 soft carbon steel, which is a big part of why PXG irons feel as soft as they do. This set is 5 iron to pitching wedge plus an approach wedge in A flex, making it a strong choice for a senior golfer or anyone with a smoother swing speed who still wants premium performance. Buying PXG second hand is far and away the sensible route into the brand.
