Fitted with a Ventus Blue 5 regular flex graphite shaft.

The SIM2 Max fairway is one of those clubs that quietly does everything well. TaylorMade built it around a V Steel sole, a shape borrowed from a much older design, which lifts the trailing edge and lets the club move through turf cleanly whether you are on a tight lie or sat down in the rough.

The face is a forged C300 steel insert with a Twist Face profile, backed by a cut-through Speed Pocket that keeps ball speed up on strikes low on the face, which is where most fairway wood misses happen. Sitting behind that is 65 grams of tungsten low and forward, so the launch is high and the spin stays sensible. Regular flex, standard 3 wood loft.
