Fitted with an Even Flow Riptide regular flex graphite shaft.

The SIM2 Max is one of those drivers that golfers keep coming back to, and it is easy to see why. TaylorMade rebuilt the head using Forged Ring Construction, a milled aluminium ring that ties the body together and frees up significant weight to be pushed to the extremes of the head. The result is a huge jump in stability, so shots struck away from the centre lose far less ball speed and stay much closer to the target line.

Speed Injected Twist Face pushes each head right up to the legal speed limit while the corrective curvature helps straighten out the high toe and low heel misses that most golfers make. This example is a 9 degree head with a regular flex shaft, an interesting combination that suits a player who generates good speed but wants a lower spinning flight without going to a stiff shaft. Still a top tier driver several seasons on.
