The SM5 is one of the most fondly remembered Vokey generations, and there is a reason plenty of players still have one in the bag. TX4 grooves were cut to a tighter tolerance than anything Vokey had done before, with a parallel face texture that lifts spin on the shorter shots where grooves alone struggle to grip.

At 50 degrees this is a gap wedge, which is arguably the most useful wedge in the bag now that iron lofts have got so strong. It fills the yardage between a pitching wedge and a sand wedge and it is the club you reach for on those awkward three quarter shots into a green. Straightforward, well made and very good value at this price.
